Disco music’s appeal and value over todays dance jams lies in its content and structure, both of which administer a more satisfying and effective mood. Though disco and electro’s lyrical focus is quite similar, disco better embodies the experience. Songs are themed around the heat-of-the-moment “now”, when and where the song was originally intended to be played, whether that be for the dance floor or bedroom floor. Unlike the extremely crude and uninhibited lyrical composition of today’s music (also reflected in attire and behavior of the listeners), disco is more smooth and subtle. Unlike the instant gratification or the shock, disco is a charmer, a temptress, cool and collected. While electro may make use of cheap synthetic beats and stale melodies, disco is rich with orchestrated talent and voice. The songs are longer, moving in natural and seductive rhythms. Enjoy your 1-minute-man M.I.A., your wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am Bonde do Role. I’ll take some Destination and George Mcrae.

Actually, I am into electro and all that. Disco is nice also because I don’t enjoy the fast passed turn out of new tracks and sub-genres. The allure of the fashion helps too.?Ǭ† Plus, my writing skills are limited to what IB taught me in highschool.
